2021 Event Cancelled

After much deliberation we have made the difficult decision to cancel the 2021 Ride for Hope. We stayed committed to holding the event for as long as possible, hoping the situation would change. It hasn’t.

Since inception, we have prided ourselves on prioritizing health and safety for everyone in the Ride for Hope family. Sadly, the pandemic persists and the risks associated with holding the event outweigh the benefits.

To those of you who have already registered for the 2021 event, we thank you for your on-going support and the wonderful enthusiasm you displayed by registering early! We will contact you individually for next steps.

Bahamians fighting cancer struggled significantly in 2020 as treatments were interrupted and lock-downs amplified their feelings of isolation and despair. We are determined to restore their HOPE this year – and you can help!

Please consider making a donation of any size to Ride for Hope Bahamas. With your support, our Treatment Assistance Fund will provide direct financial support to Bahamians struggling to pay for their chemotherapy or radiation. With your support, our Family Island Mammogram Screening program will continue to bring at-risk women from our Family Islands to Nassau for screening, with the further aim of reducing late-stage diagnoses and increasing survivorship.

Our commitment to these two programs comes at an annual cost of $300,000. Every donation we receive will be used to fund them throughout the year. We are deeply grateful to each of you – participants, volunteers, and corporate partners – for you your unwavering support over the years.
