Participant fundraising at the March 2023 Bahamas Hope Challenge hit $300,000! Calling their efforts incredible, BHC Executive Director, Susan Larson said, “Our participants work so hard before, during, and after the event to push their fundraising to higher and higher levels. We are so proud and appreciative of their incredible efforts!”
Every dollar participants raise is applied to BHC’s flagship programs: The Treatment Assistance Fund and the Family Islands Mammogram Screening (FIMS) program. This is a gold standard in the non-profit world and BHC is deep proud to have maintained this standard since inception.
BHC exists to build hope and resources to help Bahamians fight cancer. While event quality and memorableness are certainly top priorities to organizers, it is the fundraising that enables BHC to carry out its mandate effectively in the weeks and months afterwards. “The fact of the matter is the more we raise, the more Bahamians we can help,” said Larson.
BHC extends a huge thank you to the 2023 participants who worked tirelessly to fundraise. Your efforts are deeply appreciated! And boundless thanks and gratitude go to our corporate partners whose incredible support underwrites all overhead and thus enables 100% of participant fundraising to go to the cause!
